    Home Remedies For Chlamydia

There are several home remedies for chlamydia and a number of websites claim that these home remedies can cure chlamydia. While some of the home remedies have been shown to have antibacterial properties, antibiotics are the only proven cure for chlamydia. It isnt worth the risk of infertility or illness to not treat chlamydia.

If you experience symptoms, some of these home remedies may be effective for symptom relief, but they cannot cure the infection itself.

    Management Of Sex Partners

Uncomplicated VVC is not usually acquired through sexual intercourse, and data do not support treatment of sex partners. A minority of male sex partners have balanitis, characterized by erythematous areas on the glans of the penis in conjunction with pruritus or irritation. These men benefit from treatment with topical antifungal agents to relieve symptoms.

    Boric Acid For Bacterial Vaginosis

Boric / Is Borax Safe Or Not and Should It Really Be Used ...

Bacterial vaginosis is not generally thought of as a sexually transmitted infection. However, it and other forms of non-infectious vaginitis may still be associated with sexual activity.

They are often also associated with an increased vaginal pH, corresponding to a less acidic vagina. In fact, one of the hallmarks of bacterial vaginosis is a disruption in the healthy vaginal flora that contributes to vaginal acidity.

There is little quality evidence for the use of boric acid to treat bacterial vaginosis, although one non-randomized study used it to good effect. There is also a large, ongoing clinical trial to test whether boric acid may be as effective as metronidazole in treating bacterial vaginosis, which may produce higher quality evidence in the future.

Hydrogen Peroxide And Tea Tree Oil Douche

    1 User Review

I was horrified after discovering that I had contracted trich from my boyfriend . I was very irritated down there and noticed a strange smell which seemed stronger at different times of the month. I went straight to earth clinic and was disheartened by so many people saying they had tried many remedies to no avail. For many weeks, I tried to ignore the problem hoping my body would eventually fix it…. Of course, that didn’t happen. Then I tried douching with H2o2, and it helped with the smell for a few days but then came back. I remembered a friend of mine telling me that people in India use Turmeric for many ailments, as it has powerful anti viral/bacterial properties. Now, I tried several things for about 3-5 days so I’m not sure if it was one thing or the combination that did it for me. But this is what I did:

For 3 days I used a tampon lightly sprayed with H202 and gently press turmeric powder all over the tampon. Insert, and leave in for about 2 hours. . It does burn a bit, so be mentally prepared 🙂

I also did a couple of douches with H202 after the 3 days. Furthermore, for about 5 days, I took Golden seal and echinacea tablets, and probiotics. It has been over a month since I have done this and THANK GOD, I no longer feel I have any irritation or smell. Blessings.

    How Is Chlamydia Diagnosed

Chlamydia can be diagnosed by several different laboratory tests. They can either use a urine sample to test for the bacteria or a cotton swab from the infected area. The chlamydia test most often uses a swab from the cervix for women and the urethra for men, but can also include a swab of the anus or other potentially infected areas. This swab is used for a culture or antigen for testing, both of which can identify if chlamydia is present. A doctor may also conduct a physical exam to examine symptoms and check for other STDs. Chlamydia and gonorrhea are very similar, so it is important to test for both to ensure you receive the right treatment. A doctor may ask:

    • How often do you have unprotected sex?
    • Do you have a new partner or multiple sexual partners?
    • Do you exhibit any symptoms like discharge, pelvic pain, or pain when urinating?

These questions can be used to determine if you have a STD, and answering yes increases the likelihood that you may have contracted one. Getting tested for a STD can be scary and intimidating, but remember you are taking charge of your health. Seeking help can provide peace of mind knowing if you do or do not have a STD and what you can do about it.

Boric acid suppositories are widely available without a prescription from drug stores and online retailers. A typical dose is 600 milligrams per day, but its crucial to consult your health care provider about the right regimen and to follow the instructions carefully.

Here are some guidelines to follow when inserting your boric acid suppository:

    • Lie back on a bed or couch with your knees bent, or stand with your knees bent.
    • Using your fingers or an applicator specifically designed for this purpose, gently insert the suppository into your vagina as far as it will comfortably go.

    • Wash your hands thoroughly afterwards.

The suppository should be inserted at the same time each day. Many people find it convenient to insert it before going to bed

    What Is Bacterial Vaginosis

Healthy vaginal flora is made up of good bacteria , harmful bacteria, and candida fungi. Under normal conditions, the good bacteria secrete hydrogen peroxide, lactic acid, and other substances that keep the vaginas pH highly acidic. When a vagina is acidic, it inhibits bad bacteria and fungi from overproducing.

But if the pH balance becomes disrupted and lactobacilli decline, an overgrowth of harmful microbes can occur. If candida fungi begin to overproduce, you can develop a vaginal yeast infection . If bad bacteria start to replicate, that leads to bacterial vaginosis . Both of these conditions are types of vaginitis, or inflammation of the vagina.

Bacterial vaginosis may be uncomfortable and embarrassing, but its quite common. An estimated one in three American women will develop BV in their lifetime. The rate is higher for women who are sexually active, particularly those with a new sexual partner or multiple sexual partners.

How Do You Know If You Have Chlamydia

It is common for someone with chlamydia to have no symptoms. In fact, 75% of women and 50% of men with chlamydia exhibit no symptoms. The key signs of chlamydia can appear within one week or up to three weeks after having sex with an infected person. Even with no symptoms, it is still possible to transmit the disease and damage the reproductive system.

There are some differences in how chlamydia presents in men vs women, but in general the most common reported symptoms in both men and women are:

    • Chlamydia discharge For women, this includes abnormal discharge from the vagina that may have a strong odor and be yellowish. For men, this can vary greatly, but may be cloudy or clear discharge around the tip of the penis.
    • Burning sensation while urinating Also called dysuria, this symptom is common with other STDs and is an important sign to get tested.
    • Burning or itching around the vagina or penis For women, this burning or itching may also be inside the vagina, and for men, this is usually around the penial opening.

Women can also have painful periods, bleeding between periods, pain during sex, abdominal pain, or a fever. Men can also have a less common symptom of swelling or pain in either or both testicles. Chlamydia can spread or infect the anus causing:

    • Discharge
    • Bleeding
    • Rectal pain

While rare, chlamydia can infect your eyes, causing itching, redness, or discharge, or your throat, causing soreness.

Facts About Vaginal Boric Acid Treatments

Bacterial Vaginosis and vulvovaginal candidiasis recurrences are becoming more common due to medication resistant strains, use and overuse of antibiotics, immunocompromising conditions, or poor vaginal health practices. These infections are becoming harder to eliminate with bacterial biofilms and exposure to uncommon yeast strains being the most recent theory.

Boric acid has been used as a treatment for these 2 vaginal infections with great success for centuries. While the why/how boric acid works is still not fully explained or understood, scientists do know that it does break down the bacterias biofilm and yeast cell walls making those pathogens more susceptible to our bodys natural defenses and prescription medications as well as creating a pH level that is very close to where the vagina prefers to be making it difficult for pathogens to get out of control.

But before you run to your local store and end up bringing home pesticide quality boric acid I want to provide some basic information about this chemical compound so you know what it is and is not, and what it can and cannot do for your vaginal health.

The Nitty Gritty of this Gritty Treatment!

You are able to purchase safe boric acid for use in capsules and vaginal suppositories in many stores and online, however I urge you to talk with your doctor or pharmacist and do some research into which product you purchase so you know you are getting a high quality product that will actually benefit you.
