Top Ten 29er Products Of : Diamondback Sortie Black 29
Top Ten 29er Products of 2011: Diamondback Sortie Black 29: by Guitar TedEditors Note: Yeah, yeah..another year end review! Tis the season! So, here are my favorite things that have passed through the Twenty Nine Inches review process during the past year. I want to point out a few parameters that I used for what I chose here.1. The product had to be in the review process during the time period of December 2010 through to the end of November 2011. Reviews that are currently in process I did not include and will be eligible for my 2012 Top Ten list.
2. They had to be products or bicycles that I personally used during this period. Nothing any of the other Twenty Nine Inches staff reviewed on their own could be considered for my list. This list doesnt necessarily reflect the opinions of anyone but me, Guitar Ted.
3. The reviewed products were provided to Twenty Nine Inches at no charge for review. I was not paid or bribed for this review. I will give/gave my honest opinion or thoughts through out.
That said, lets get on with this
Number Two: Diamondback Sortie Black 29: Diamondback had been quietly doing a line of aluminum 29er hard tails for a few years, but for 2012 they unleashed the Sortie Black 29, which became available late in the year. I was able to get on board this swoopy looking full suspension rig for a short term test. See my posts on the bike here, here, and here.
Stay tuned for Number One coming soon..

How Is The Test Used
Chlamydia testing is used to screen for and diagnose sexually transmitted infections caused by the bacteria Chlamydia trachomatis.
Testing for Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae is often done at the same time since the infections caused by these two bacteria can have similar signs and symptoms. These bacteria may be acquired at the same time, and you may have infections with both. A definitive diagnosis is important since the two infections require different antibiotic treatment.
Repeat testing is recommended to ensure that treatment has been effective. This is done about three months after you have completed treatment.

What Are Std Symptoms And When Do They Usually Happen
Women usually dont have STD symptoms that prompt them to get tested when an STD is detected its typically because a woman has been screened based on her reporting of sexual activity. If symptoms do appear, they may take a few weeks to develop. In addition, STD symptoms can be difficult to tell apart from those of a urinary tract infection or bacterial vaginosis.
Pain deep inside during sex
Burning and pain with urine or with bowel movements
Having to go to the bathroom often
Until after the pandemic emergency response is over, the CDC has advised that women with symptoms should be prioritized for testing and treatment and that routine screening should be postponed. But women without symptoms still have options for testing and can seek treatment if they test positive for an STD.
STD symptoms for men can vary, and some infections dont cause external symptoms. For STDs like gonorrhea, syphilis, and chlamydia, symptoms can include:

How Long In Total Does The At
At-home testing is surprisingly fast in many cases. You can expect results in as little as a week, though some variables can make that process take a little longer.
Exactly when you place your order can add a few days to your wait since you arent supposed to collect a sample on a Thursday or Friday if you want it to be fresh when it arrives at the lab. Since our testers received most of their shipments within two or three days, we recommend placing your order mid-week. That allows you to receive it early enough the following week that you can get it off to the lab quickly.
LetsGetChecked proved to be the fastest at-home choice in our tests, with a total turnaround of just over a week from ordering to results. If you need your results as fast as possible and are willing and able to go to one of STDchecks labs without delay, then you can have results in as little as two days from the time you place your order.

Best For Lab Choice: Personalabs
A person can choose either a specific test for chlamydia and gonorrhea or a comprehensive or 11-panel test that both involve submitting a blood and urine sample.
After buying a test, the person takes a form to a nearby lab, where a technician collects the samples. The lab posts the results to the individuals online account. The customer may then speak with a doctor regarding any required prescriptions.
This company does not have BBB accreditation but has an A+ rating on the platform. No customers have filed a complaint or left a review with the BBB regarding PersonaLabs since its 2006 launch.

How Accurate Are At
Most at-home tests are processed at certified laboratories, so as long as your sample was collected and preserved correctly until it was processed and then analysed at a CLIA-certified laboratory, your at-home test results should be comparable to what you would receive otherwise.
A 2015 review looked at 2,100 studies comparing the sensitivity and specificity of at-home vs. physician ordered chlamydia and gonorrhea tests. Sensitivity refers to a test’s ability to determine a positive result and specificity refers to the tests ability to determine a negative result. The study determined that the tests had sufficient sensitivity and specificity.
The quality of the lab results depend mainly on the quality of sample collection. The likelihood of a contaminated or unusable sample is higher in home-collection compared to physician collected samples.

How Do Home Chlamydia Tests Work
Taking a home chlamydia test typically involves collecting a urine or genital swab sample while at home and then sending it to a lab for analysis. Lab technicians then determine whether the bacterium responsible for chlamydia is present in the sample.
Some home testing companies allow a person to discreetly order testing kits while at home but then require the person to take the kit to a specified laboratory where a technician will collect a sample. The lab that analyzed the sample then sends the results directly to the person who ordered the test.
Some home-testing companies have doctors on staff who can write a prescription and send it to a pharmacy if required.
Before the chlamydia test, a person should:
- avoid douching or using vaginal creams for 24 hours before the test
- avoid taking antibiotics for 24 hours before the test
- refrain from urinating for 12 hours before taking the sample
If a test indicates that a person has chlamydia and the company does not offer a follow-up consultation service, they should contact a doctor or healthcare professional. Without treatment, chlamydia can cause serious
gynecological exam or regular health checkup, but this is not always the case. With this in mind, anyone who believes they may have chlamydia should consider a test.
One symptom of chlamydia is a burning sensation when urinating. A person experiencing this issue should contact a doctor, even if a home chlamydia test has returned a negative result.

Why Should You Consider Testing With An At
The main perk of at home STD tests is convenience. Users do not have to schedule an appointment or even leave their house to collect their samples and get their results. Most companies offer quick turnaround times, including shipping the kits to customers, and getting them their lab results, so this is an ideal solution for anyone looking to know their status quickly.
Because these tests are completed in the privacy of ones own home, they are also discreet. Test kits usually come in unmarked packaging, and customers do not need to worry about discussing potentially uncomfortable or embarrassing information with their regular doctor.

What Are The Treatments For Chlamydia
If you are diagnosed with chlamydia, your doctor will prescribe oral antibiotics. A single dose of azithromycin or taking doxycycline twice daily for 7 to 14 days are the most common treatments and are the same for those with or without HIV.
With treatment, the infection should clear up in about a week. Do not have sex for at least 7 days until you have taken all of your medication, and do not stop taking the antibiotics even if you feel better.
Your doctor will also recommend that your partner be treated as well to prevent reinfection and further spread of the disease.
Women with serious infections, such as pelvic inflammatory disease, may require a longer course of antibiotics or hospitalization for intravenous antibiotics. Some severe pelvic infections may require surgery in addition to antibiotic therapy.
Make sure you get retested after three months to be certain the infection is gone. Do this even if your partner has been treated and appears to be infection free.
