Gonorrhea may be treated by an injection of ceftriaxone intramuscularly or by oral cefixime . Other antibiotics may also be used.

Men can get UTIs, particularly if they have trouble with urine flow. Older men who experience prostatitis are at a higher risk. If the bladder is not emptying properly, the build up ofurine makes it more difficult to cure the infection.

A small number of young men may get a UTI. In males, this is usually the result of a sexually transmitted disease.

Signs And Symptoms Of Gonorrhea

Most women having gonococcal infection in the urethra remain asymptomatic or have trivial symptoms, while majority of the men having the infection show clinical disease. Most rectal and pharyngeal gonococcal infections are asymptomatic.
